What conditions are covered by workers’ compensation?

Workers’ comp covers a wide range of work-related injuries and illnesses, including ANY ACCIDENTAL INJURY, medical conditions brought on by working with toxic or hazardous materials, repetitive stress injuries and any other type of injury that occurs while performing a job-related duty.

The accident was my fault. Do I still qualify for workers’ comp benefits?

Fault does not matter in workers’ compensation.  The law requires the injury to be an accidental injury arising in the course of your employment.  Even if you were at fault, you can still file a workers compensation claim.

Can my employer fire me for seeking benefits?

No. It is against the law for an employer to fire or retaliate against an employee who files a workers’ comp claim.

My Employer says I have to go to “their” Doctor to treat me for my injuries.

Maryland law allows YOU to choose who you treat with for your work related injuries.  I have multiple medical facilities that I know that treat injured workers at no cost to you.  Call me to help you schedule an appointment.

My Employer won’t pay for my medical treatment. Now what?
